Pre-Existing Medical Conditions and Travel Insurance
If you have a pre-existing medical condition, it is important that you tell us before purchasing one of our Travel+ insurance policies.
What is a pre-existing medical condition?
A medical condition is ‘pre-existing’ if you had it when you took out the policy or booked a trip.
Pre-existing conditions include if you have:
- taken prescribed medication within the past two years
- seen a medical professional within the last two years, or are due to see one
- had a test or are waiting to have a test or further medical investigations
- any kind of mental illness
